Ghost Games working on visual quality of racing sim

PC fans of racing sim Need For Speed will have to wait a little longer for the latest installment of the game than their console comrades. The PC version has now been delayed until next year.

"Part of the conversation includes hearing from our PC community that an unlocked frame rate in Need for Speed is a massive priority for you, and we fully agree," said developer Ghost Games in a statement today.

"To deliver this, we've made the decision to move the PC release date to Spring 2016. Our PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release dates will remain the same, starting November 3, 2015 in North America and November 5 worldwide."

The studio also promised that it was taking "great steps" to ensure the online elements of the game would be stable on launch, an issue that has plagued a number of new releases in this generation.

Ghost Games created Need for Speed Rivals in 2013 and announced Need for Speed in May of this year.
